Automatically reduces and regulates high inlet pressures down to 45 psi at standard factory setting. Contains an inbuilt back-pass check which operates independently of the regulator. This allows water to flow back through the regulator in cases of thermal expansion caused by hot water heating devices. Features an iron body, threaded connections, iron spring chamber, brass piston and seat ring, EP Rubber seat disc and diaphragm, and an inbuilt brass strainer screen.
